2. Shipping Areas

We ship construction equipment and related products to:

  • Dubai and all Emirates within the UAE
  • Selected Middle East, African and European countries (subject to logistics feasibility, local regulations and approval)

For some destinations or product types, shipping may not be possible due to legal, technical or economic constraints. Availability will be confirmed in each quotation.​

3. Shipping Methods

Depending on the type and size of the equipment, we may use:​

  • Local road transport within Dubai/UAE (trucks, low‑bed trailers, recovery vehicles)
  • International road transport to neighboring countries where possible
  • Ocean freight (Ro‑Ro, container, flat‑rack, break‑bulk) for heavy machinery and large shipments
  • Air freight for urgent or smaller shipments (where technically possible)

The chosen method will be indicated in your quotation or contract, together with the relevant Incoterms (for example EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP, DDP).​

4. Shipping to Dubai (Local Deliveries)

For deliveries within Dubai (and, where agreed, other Emirates):

  • Standard delivery time is usually 2–7 working days after receipt of full payment or according to the agreed schedule, subject to equipment availability and transport planning.
  • Delivery charges depend on equipment size/weight, off‑loading requirements and site accessibility; costs are shown in the quotation or invoiced separately.
  • The customer must ensure that the site is accessible for trucks and has adequate lifting equipment (crane, forklift) if off‑loading is not included.

Any required permits (for example, road permits for oversized loads) will be handled according to the terms of the contract.

5. International Shipping (Outside UAE)

For exports from Dubai to other countries, shipments are organized on a case‑by‑case basis:​

  • The exact Incoterm 2020 will be specified in the quotation (for example EXW Dubai, FOB Jebel Ali, CIF destination port, DAP customer yard).
  • Transit times vary depending on destination and shipping method (in general from a few days by air to several weeks by sea).
  • Customs clearance, import duties, local taxes and permits in the destination country are normally the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed.

We can recommend or coordinate with specialized freight forwarders for heavy equipment shipments where required.

6. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are influenced by:

  • Equipment dimensions and weight
  • Type of transport (road/sea/air) and route
  • Incoterm and division of responsibilities
  • Need for special packing, crating or escorts (for oversized loads)​

All shipping charges and responsibilities will be detailed in the Quotation / Proforma Invoice / Sales Contract. If the buyer organizes their own transport, A F T TRADING L.L.C will provide reasonable loading assistance by prior arrangement.

7. Processing and Delivery Times

Indicative timelines:

  • Order processing & preparation: typically 1–10 working days after receipt of payment and final technical confirmation (inspection, cleaning, documentation).
  • Local UAE deliveries: approx. 2–7 working days after equipment is ready and transport is scheduled.
  • International shipments: approx. 1–4 weeks depending on destination, vessel schedules, customs and port conditions.​

These times are estimates only and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to factors beyond our control (port congestion, customs, weather, regulatory checks, etc.).

8. Packaging and Loading

Equipment is prepared and loaded according to its type and the selected transport method:​

  • Machines may be shipped on wheels/tracks, on low‑bed trailers, or secured on flat‑racks, in containers or on skids/pallets.
  • Sensitive parts may be protected with covers, bracing or crating; detachable components may be packed separately.
  • The buyer must inform us of any specific packaging or marking requirements in advance.

All loading photos and basic shipping documents (for example, packing list, loading pictures) can be provided upon request.

9. Risk of Loss and Insurance

Risk of loss or damage passes from A F T TRADING L.L.C to the buyer according to the agreed Incoterm:​

  • Under EXW / FCA / FOB terms, the buyer is generally responsible for arranging insurance from the relevant point.
  • Under CIF / CIP or similar terms, we will provide cargo insurance according to the coverage stated in the contract.

Customers are strongly encouraged to obtain adequate marine/transport insurance for all international shipments of heavy equipment.

10. Delivery, Inspection and Claims

Upon delivery or collection, the buyer (or their representative) must:

  • Check the equipment’s condition and quantity against the delivery documents (CMR, bill of lading, delivery note).
  • Note any visible damage or shortage on the transport documents before signing and keep copies.
  • Take clear photos and contact us promptly if there is significant damage or discrepancy.

Any claims related to transport damage or loss must be made within the time limits set in the applicable transport documents, Incoterms and our Refund and Returns Policy.

11. Failed or Delayed Deliveries

A delivery may be delayed or fail if:

  • The site is not accessible or not ready to accept the equipment.
  • Off‑loading equipment is not available (where required).
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information is provided.
  • Customs or regulatory authorities hold or inspect the shipment.

In such cases, additional storage, re‑delivery or waiting charges may apply. These costs will be borne by the buyer where the cause is outside A F T TRADING L.L.C’s control.

12. Changes to This Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes may also be communicated via email or with a notice on the site.​
